Dorothy Sitek President, Program Portfolio
A lifelong learner with a laser-focus on what helps produce business results, Dorothy is CSMPS’ dedicated and enthusiastic program lead, a role she has held for three years. Over that time and with the help of Board and Member input, she has transformed CSMPS programming increasing by over 100 per cent overall annual event subscriptions and achieving 92% average event attendee satisfaction rate in 2015/16. She welcomes program suggestions any time.
Dorothy has always been an active volunteer. Currently, she is a Management Committee Member of the Urban Land Institute’s BC District Council and sits on the Board of Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers.
Dorothy has over 20 years of professional marketing / communications experience. She is the founder of Generation Communications a firm that proudly serves a number of prominent local and international professional service AEC firms. The firm’s client base spans a wide range of sectors including telephony, retail, healthcare, banking and government.
While approximately 90 per cent of Generation Communication’s client work is referral or organic, Dorothy has an impressive RFP-win track record. She honed her BD skills while leading the BC operations of one of the world’s largest PR firms, Weber Shandwick Worldwide where her average RFP win-rate was 75 per cent.
Chris Sharples Vice-President and Treasurer
Chris is excited to help the association identify and provide a program of opportunities for members to improve their marketing knowledge and skills that grow their businesses.
As the Marketing and Business Development Manager for PGL Environmental Consultants, he brings to the board eight years of hands-on experience as a professional services marketing practitioner and an enthusiasm for entrepreneurialism and business growth. He also has a marketing and sales background in medical devices, custom clothing, graphics, and corporate promotional items.
Combining creativity, practicality, business analysis and a touch of British-style humour, Chris provides programs for marketing and sales strategy, brand management, client relationship building, promotions, and proposals.
Nancy Maribel Director
Nancy has successfully managed marketing and sales teams for over ten years in the professional services (AEC) and consumer retail industry. Her varied experience includes business development, event planning, advertising design, and copywriting. As a results oriented person, she is naturally competitive and focus on delivering marketing solutions that drive actual results.
As Marketing Manager at DIALOG, she manages a team of marketing professionals to produce compelling marketing materials that are aligned with the firm’s goals. Work includes business development, proposal strategy and execution, and events. As the previous Marketing Manager (Western Canada) at Integral Group, she managed a team of three, while creating regional marketing materials that align with our brand. Nancy helped cultivate business relationships to expand our network and reach. In addition, she's personally written and designed collateral for over three hundred proposal submissions.
Nancy has also planned and executed multiple, large-scale events with over over 300 attendees for clients and employees, including the event branding and coordination.
Carlee Groves Director at Large
As the Regional Marketing Manager for Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd, Carlee is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the marketing and business development initiatives for RJC’s BC operations. This includes designing and producing marketing collateral, advertisements, sponsorships, client engagement, proposal management, and the execution of various other business development pursuits.
With a decade of experience in marketing and sales, Carlee is a strategic thinker and precise tactician. Carlee has superior knowledge of establishing and managing processes, and analyzing opportunities for growth.
Passionate about the real estate and development industry and volunteering her time, Carlee also sits on the Professional Services Management Association (PSMA) Board of Directors and is a Committee Member on the BC Children’s Hospital Real Estate and Development Committee.
Harneil Lilly Director, Design & Communications Portfolios
Having joined Integral Group in 2015 with experience in sales and marketing, Harneil quickly established himself as a skilled Business Development and Marketing professional within Integral.
With a passion for learning and a drive to succeed, Harneil helps lead BD research and outreach. He also works with the leadership team at Integral Group to produce proposals for some of BC’s largest and most significant projects. Harneil supports Integral Group’s marketing initiatives, where he has been able to utilize and develop his passion and expertise in creativity and design.
Nicci Harris Director, Communications Portfolio
Born in South Africa, Nicci moved to Burlington, Ontario with her family in 2001 and has since travelled and worked in the United Kingdom and Australia. She joined Integral Group in 2014 to provide support to the company's Marketing, Accounting and Administrative departments, and has since found her home with the marketing team at Integral Group.
Nicci has developed her technical skills, people management strategies and used her sunny disposition to step into the role of Marketing Coordinator where she is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of internal and external marketing strategies. For the deep green engineering firm, these marketing strategies include brochures, advertising, proposals, and other collateral materials, all with an environmentally sustainable and corporately responsible twist. Her international experience has allowed her to bring a unique global perspective to her position at Integral Group.
Passionate about bringing individuals together while growing team comradery, Nicci leads the Social Committee at Integral Group and has also successfully planned small and large-scale events in her various roles. Everyone loves attending an event planned and hosted by Nicci as she adds a special spark (and a cupcake or two) to the engineering world she lives and works in.
Stephanie Zuke Director, Membership Portfolio
With over 17 years of professional services marketing experience, Stephanie has developed an expertise in the area of marketing and business development of engineering and architectural services. She has been involved in the strategic pursuit of hundreds of projects with municipalities, health authorities, school districts, post-secondary institutions, private developers and contractors.
Stephanie develops and nurtures lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with her clients. Her sincere, practical, and proactive approach to connecting with people has been instrumental in securing new business across Canada and the United States.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has had an influential presence on numerous industry association boards and committees. Since 2010, she has served on the Board of Directors for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and is a Past President of the Vancouver Chapter.
Mike Murphy Director, Communications & Sponsorship
Born and raised in Ireland, Mike emigrated to Vancouver in 2011 after earning his Master’s Degree at the National University of Ireland. Mike never looked back after this move, hitting the ground running and establishing himself as a reliable and skilled marketing professional within professional services.
With a diverse background, Mike has a proven reputation as a proficient and accomplished individual in providing all marketing services. Although he has experience in a number of sectors and various marketing roles, Mike’s passion lies within driving the proposals process. Having worked in the Canadian, Irish, UK and various European markets, he has taken this knowledge and experience into creating competitive and winning bids for every frim he has represented. As a result, he has worked on some of some of the most impressive projects across a number of continents. Currently, a Proposal Lead for AES Engineering Ltd., he drives and oversees the proposal process.
Mike is renowned as being an approachable and sociable guy in the office. Coming from a country where conversation, good humor and story telling are a part of the social make – up, he believes that these traits are vital to the morale of the work environment.

It’s always good to hear what people who read proposals are actually thinking! I went to the last event with RFP evaluators (it was a school district, health authority, and Translink) and found that very helpful as well.
It's one of the few organizations that really spends time getting into activities that are of interest to marketers in the AEC and professional marketing services world.
Every time I leave an event I get ideas of how I can do my job better. I get more passionate and inspired by what other people are doing in the industry.
