Angela Kirkham is a business development professional with over 10 years of experience in the technology, healthcare and construction/engineering industries.
In her role as Chief Marketing Officer for Fenix Energy, Angela oversees all of Fenix's sales and marketing activities.
Never happy with the status quo Angela believes there is always room for improvement and applies this philosophy to both her personal and professional life. With a passion for integrating sales and marketing efforts, some of Angela's favourite work includes, developing communication strategies, brand management and repositioning; launching new products and services and implementing proposal processes for large cross-functional teams.
Prior to joining Fenix Energy Angela was with Cobalt Engineering LLP. Angela is serving her second consecutive term as CSMPS President.
Marie Rice Vice-President

Marie Rice is a Senior Consultant with Kison Inc. offering consulting services, customized workshops and seminars to corporate, institutional and small business clients. Marie specializes in training and coaching teams and individuals in the areas of Management, Sales, Customer Service, and Call Centres.
Her work experience focuses on building employee and organizational capacity by increasing the competence and confidence levels of managers and teams. Marie has held positions in national and international organizations including Director of Corporate Communications and National Training Manager for a retail chain of over 60 stores, Western Regional Sales Manager for one of North America's major window covering manufacturers and National Sales Manager of Home Furnishings for a major department store chain.
Marie is a dynamic presenter who brings energy, passion and commitment to achieve results at every presentation.
Kristine Majlath Secretary-Treasurer

Kristine Majlath is a Marketing Professional with Buckland & Taylor Ltd., a specialized bridge engineering firm, providing services to clients worldwide.
Valued for her professional insight, resourcefulness and ability to deliver on tight deadlines, Kristine takes on a key roll in various tasks within Business Development & Marketing including proposal preparation, attendance at conferences as an exhibitor, monitoring bid opportunities and maintaining the website. She works closely with all members of the Buckland & Taylor Ltd. team, including Principals, Engineers and fellow Marketing staff.
Prior to joining Buckland & Taylor Ltd., she worked at firm providing an Employee and Family Assistance Program as Account Management Coordinator, where she presented to clients, exhibited at wellness seminars and coordinated client accounts at a regional level.
Kristine received her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Northern British Columbia. This is Kristine's first year on the CSMPS Board.
Joan Carter Director

Joan Carter is a communications professional with over 20 years of experience in the engineering and financial services sectors. She joined Kerr Wood Leidal Associates in 1999 after working for 12 years as an analyst, developing policies and procedures for all aspects of retail banking operations.
Since joining Kerr Wood Leidal, Joan has planned and implemented various marketing initiatives, including client events, awards submissions, trade show presentations, website makeovers, and corporate brochure development. She has also written and edited numerous reports and proposals, and articles for engineering journals. Joan also conducts recruitment marketing, oversees document production and advertising, and develops graphic designs.
Joan has a B.A. in English from the University of British Columbia and a Canadian Securities Certificate. She is also a former volunteer interpreter and ESL tutor.
She is a past president on the CSMPS board.
Brenda Truong Director

Brenda Truong is a Marketing Professional with Golder Associates Ltd., the Canadian operations of a global ground engineering and environmental services firm.
As a trusted team member and leader, and a dynamic communicator, Brenda focuses on proposal preparation, event planning, workshop coordination, and other marketing and business development initiatives. Project Managers and marketing colleagues across the company rely on her professional judgment for marketing guidance. She is successful in building collegial team environments; her passion and effervescence draw people to work with her.
Prior to joining Golder in early 2009, Brenda secured professional services for Real Estate development. Her focus was on pre-sale marketing for multi-residential and hotel projects collectively valued at over $500m. In this capacity, she liaised with external project consultants, prepared tender bids, and supported the launching of pre-sale developments.
Brenda holds a B.A. in Communication from Simon Fraser University. This is Brenda's third year on the CSMPS Board.
Lovleen Brar Director

As an experienced marketing professional, Lovleen brings a strong background in project management, event planning, and graphic design. She fuses this experience with her strong communications and organizational skills to support the Canadian Mining and Oil & Gas Sectors at Golder Associates. Lovleen's attention to detail, resourcefulness, and planning is a strength that she uses in successfully executing tradeshows and events with Golder, serving internal and external clients. Additionally, through her strong background in design and understanding of brand communications and management, Lovleen conceptualizes, creates, and implements graphic collateral as part of the Canadian Graphics team.
Prior to joining Golder, she worked as an Account Manager at an advertising agency where she moved from handling local and regional accounts to national and global accounts. Lovleen earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Royal Roads University.
Outside of work, Lovleen enjoys a good adventure. Whether it's putting her culinary talents to use in creating the next masterpiece dessert, or planning her next globetrotting expedition, culture and creativity are always in the plans.
Dorothy Sitek Director

Dorothy has twenty years’ experience in marketing communications and is a crisis communications expert. Her new firm’s breadth of service reflects Dorothy’s experience garnered in both corporate and non-profit settings in a vast array of sectors. Today her clients range from engineering and architecture to green energy, health and consumer.
Dorothy specializes in marketing to seniors and baby boomers and wrote a column for those groups in a daily newspaper - The Vancouver Sun. Before joining Weber Shandwick, Dorothy was as an independent consultant who was hired to manage projects for a variety of government, pharmaceutical and technology clients. She was hired by both private industry and non-profit organizations.
Dorothy holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Ottawa with a BA (Hons). She is an active volunteer and is currently a member of a number of Boards.
